About the Appliance

SureSmile clear aligners use advanced digital technology and high-quality materials to deliver a precise and comfortable fit from your first aligner to your last. Small attachments are placed on specific teeth to give the aligners better grip and control, allowing your teeth to move gently and efficiently into their ideal positions. This modern system offers an effective, aesthetic alternative to traditional braces perfect for anyone who wants straighter teeth without visible brackets.

Wearing the Aligners

SureSmile aligners are a series of transparent trays made from a 3D digital scan of your teeth. Each set of aligners is worn for 7-10 days, gradually applying gentle pressure to shift your teeth step by step.

After 7-10 days, you move on to the next set. You’ll receive several sets at once, so you don’t need to visit the practice every time you switch to a new one.

Consistent wear, at least 20 hours per day, is essential for best results. You can remove the aligners for eating, drinking (anything other than water), and brushing your teeth.

Important Guidelines

  • Always remove your aligners before eating. You can eat anything without them, but be careful with the attachments, they can break when biting into very hard foods.
  • Before putting your aligners back in, brush your teeth to prevent staining or buildup.
  • You may drink water or tea with your aligners in, but avoid colored or sugary drinks.
  • Avoid chewing hard foods or objects while wearing your aligners, this can cause cracks or warping.
  • To prevent discoloration, brush after meals and rinse your aligners regularly with water.

If an aligner breaks or cracks, contact the practice immediately.
Do not continue to the next set, your teeth may not be ready yet.
Instead, wear your previous set (or none at all) until we provide a replacement.
